Physical Expectations

Our tours never are bike races. The only competition do you have with yourself!
We want to enjoy the marvellous city and natur of Lisbon with good company in a relaxed way. In order of this it´s important for everybody to chose a appropriate tour.

Mountainbike Travellers main focus isn´t on very mountainbike-experienced riders, but on the midclass sportsman & -woman. People who do some sport at home, not urgently cycling and mountainbiking.

Never the less this is outdoor sport and requires – sometimes more, sometimes less – fitness and experience. Selecting a tour that doesn´t fit with your abilities isn´t fun for anybody. Neither for you, nor for the group or the guide. The tour categories will help you to find the right tour for you. For any further doubts do not hesitate to ask. We find the perfect tour for everybody!

Force:

O This should be realy easy! If you could discover the city by foot, you can also do it by bike

10 – 20 km, not very hilly, smoove speed

OO Some fitness would be required to participate on this. You don´t have to be a experienced biker, but cyclists, runners or other sportsmen & -wiman will enjoy this more!

20 – 45 km, hilly, partly steep, moderate speed

OOO For people who are used to cycle this should defenately archiveable. All other well trained people can do it as well, but they will suffer

15 – 30 km, probably hilly, moderate speed




Bike-Skills

O You know how to cycle? Thats enough!

OO Sometimes the roads are bumpy and unpaved. Up- and downhills require some knowledge about breaks and gears. For sporty people this should be easy to achieve

OOO Even this doesn´t require to be a bike pro. But up and downs, singletrails, sand and roots requires an advanced control over your bike.


Helmets are mandatory!
